The presence of the KRAS mutation in tumor samples from patients with colorectal cancer gives clear prognostic information about the effectiveness of therapy with the epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor cetuximab. This is the finding of a group from Paris reported at the American Association for Cancer Research 2007 Annual Meeting held in Los Angeles.
